DataFreeway is an innovative network, plug-in based client supporting multiple transfer protocols. Its user interface provides a simple, protocol independent way to transfer data.
Standard techniques like drag-and-drop and copy-and-paste let users transfer files between servers running different transfer protocols, as well as enabling users to download/upload files to/from a local machine.
EngInSite DataFreeway allows you to access remote servers from your Windows desktop.
This is an innovative, network, plug-in based client, which supports
multiple transfer protocols (SSH,WebDAV, FTP).
Its user interface provides a simple, protocol-independent way to transfer data.
Standard techniques, like drag-and-drop and copy-and-paste, allow users to
transfer files between servers running different transfer protocols, and download/upload files to/from a local machine.
DataFreeway currently supports FTP, FTPS, SFTP (SSH1, SSH2) , and WebDAV protocols and replaces the following types of existing applications:
SSH1, SSH2, SFTP Client
DataFreeway's user-friendly interface and the set of implemented features and supported standards, make it the logical choice for an SSH/SFTP client instead of command-line clients. The typical user will appreciate the graphical user interface for the functionality that well-known client like Putty offer. Advanced users and network supervisors can simplify the task of file transfers between two servers.
DataFreeway supports the same SSH servers and encryptions protocols as Putty - in fact, our SSH client is based on Putty with some extended functionality (our credits to Putty creators! They contributed to safe data transfer as nobody else)
WebDAV Client
The main goal behind the DataFreeway development is to offer a powerful solution for the primary tasks Internet users have to deal with, thus support for the WebDAV protocol has been integrated into the application.
It is currently possible to access servers running the basic version of the HTTP protocol (though Apache implementation of WebDAV is recommended) as well as servers offering the full control of the file system through the WebDAV extensions. The user can browse the WebDAV servers exactly the same way he would browse the files on his local machine or an FTP server and can benefit from all the advantages described in the previous section
FTP/FTPS Client
We are not trying to create yet another one FTP client. In fact, there are plenty of them that support multithreading, resumed uploads and more. However, our client is fast and convenient and will satisfy you in most of your day-to-day chores.
Desktop Integration
It is difficult to address each and every developer's customs, so we decided just to follow Windows interface guidance.
To simplify access to your favorite remote folders, place a shortcut on your Desktop. Just browse to your folder and select Favorites->Add to Favorites menu item. Do not forget to check Place shortcut on desktop option ON |
